Common questions
Raw dog food is a diet based on uncooked meat, bone and offal, the kind of food dogs evolved to eat. The Stobarts 80/10/10 formula we stock contains 80% meat, 10% raw bone and 10% offal, giving your dog a nutritionally complete meal without any artificial additives, fillers or preservatives.
Yes, raw feeding is safe when handled correctly. Always defrost in the fridge, keep raw food away from other foods, and wash hands and surfaces after handling. Healthy dogs have highly acidic stomachs designed to handle raw meat safely. If your dog has a specific health condition, check with your vet first.
A general guide is 2-3% of your dog's ideal body weight per day. So a 20kg dog would typically eat around 400-600g per day. Active dogs or puppies may need more; older or less active dogs may need less. We're happy to advise, just give us a message!
Our Stobarts rolls come frozen. Keep them in the freezer and defrost in the fridge, and they keep for 2-3 days once defrosted. Never refreeze defrosted food. Natural dried treats like rabbit ears and chicken feet can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

Natural treats are dried or raw animal parts such as ears, feet, sausages and more, with no additives or artificial ingredients. They're brilliant for dental health (the chewing action cleans teeth naturally), digestion, skin and coat condition, and overall nutrition. They also keep dogs entertained much longer than regular treats!
Yes! Most dogs transition well. The easiest method is a straight switch: simply start feeding raw on a new day. Some people prefer a gradual transition over 1-2 weeks, mixing raw in with their current food. It's normal to see softer stools for a few days as your dog adjusts. Drop us a message and we'll guide you through it.
